The Bolshoi Ballet's Natalia Osipova performs Swanhilda's variation from Act Three of Coppelia. 2009.

The story of Coppélia concerns a mysterious and faintly diabolical inventor, Doctor Coppélius[1] who has made a life-size dancing doll. It is so lifelike that Frantz, a village swain, is infatuated with it, and sets aside his true heart's desire, Swanhilde, who in Act II shows him his folly by dressing as the doll and pretending to come to life. The festive wedding-day divertissements in the village square that occupy Act III are often deleted in modern danced versions, though one of the entrées was the first czardas presented on a ballet stage.

We are off to see Angelina Ballerina tomorrow so we will make sure that we tell Angelina all about our really, really enthusiastic, talented, and oh so clever Ballerinas at Central Coast Baby Ballet!!

When are you going on tour??? .... too many highlights to mention!!! the character dances....superb..more please... next year..... the choreography in all areas was faultless!!!! from the babies to the boys... the classical wood nymphs and the swans...the contemporary...with up.... and all the wonderful jazz and tap as well ...big pats on the backs teachers!!!!
