Week 10

Dear Parents.
It has been a very trying Term 3 for us and we would like thank you for understanding. We apologise if our communication with you has been a little impersonal and brief. We look forward to a very happy and a relatively stress-fee Term 4 leading up to our concert. We love working in a happy, positive and respectful environment with you and your children. We are always happy to discuss any of your concerns in a private meeting or by telephone or email.

Thank you Parents for making our job organising costume fittings and payments easy. We appreciate your patience.
Delivery for costumes can take 10 to 12 weeks so we have had a deadline to reach and your co-operation has been greatly appreciated.
Thanks for sitting in the white chairs at the end of Toukley Hall too. It has certainly helped to know that this viewing option will be of benefit to all especially the little dancers.

Open Days this week at Kanwal on Wednesday, Toukley on Thursday and Saturday are out of uniform. Wear your favourite dancing outfit/costume. Don't forget your ballet shoes with tights or socks.

P.S Please make sure you remove all buttons/pom poms from your ballerinas tutu from last year. Please make sure shoulders straps are sewn - NO safety pins please!!!

"As a parent I particularly like that the music, dance steps and costuming is age appropriate - I have seen too many of my friends/family young children dancing to songs and doing moves in other dance schools that I feel inappropriate for their age - i like the innocence of your themes and that a love of dance shines through.
Isla responds well to you both and she loves the differing styles of traditional ballet and the jazz body movement. I'm really happy with the open classes too I hope this remains in place (understand not for term 4 though).
Only comment would be to look at streamlining re-enrolment for continuing students and to keep the atmosphere fun and light esp for the non graded ballerinas. The dance combinations are spot on - not too difficult or to basic and the use of props is an excellent tool to make learning fun. Isla loves her time with you so that is what I go on for satisfaction"

"We like the use of props and themes in the program which enhances engagement of joy and wonder in dance. CCBB allows my child to work on developing friendships through sharing and respect. The location and timetable also work very well for us.
The only suggestion I would make for this age group is to allow a bit more variety and freedom in the program to cater for individual expression and creativity. Perhaps some free form movement and improvisations. I think this could also help with stimulating fun and laughter."
