Week 9

Dancing around the World with Mickey Mouse Open Day Sold out!!!

Only 3 days until our Open Day!!!!

Good luck to all our little Ballerinas :) We are looking forward to seeing you dance your best and we know Mickey and Minnie are very excited about meeting you all!!!

Good luck to our 5 Grade 2 Ballerinas who are competing in Sydney Eisteddfod next Monday and in Ryde Eisteddfod on the 13th July - Paige, Chloe, Isla, Charlotte and Talia :) Your performances on Sunday at the Hunter School of Performing Arts were outstanding and we are very proud of your achievements this semester :) All the hard work and hours have been worth it :)

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday and we are looking forward to seeing you all next term for Coppelia and the Dolls :)

Week 8

Less than 2 weeks until our Open Day!!!!

How Exciting!!!

Mickey and Minnie are looking forward to meeting all of the Ballerinas at CCBB!!

Just a reminder that Dress Rehearsals (in normal class times) are next Saturday 22nd June to Wednesday 26th June.

All raffle tickets (sold and not sold) and money MUST be returned this week!!
DVD Payments are also due.

Mirrored robes are being installed this Friday - just in time for Open Day.

Thank you everyone for supporting CCBB - we still have boxes of Cookies and Raffle Tickets to sell - with all fundraising money going towards the cost of the robes.

We are still needing volunteers/grade reps for Open Day  :)

Week 7

Wonderful news - Almost all of the concert tickets have sold!

 Don't forget Baby Ballerinas will be sitting either on the floor on their mats in the front, or on parents knees. 

Bubby Ballerinas - Please wear Minnie Mouse caps to ballet this week to practise for Open Day.

Reminder: Full Dress Rehearsal for all classes in Week 9 (Sat 22nd - Wed 26th). This includes hair, tights, costume and shoes. 

 DVD Payments are due next week. 

 Arrival times for Open Day:

Grades - 9.00am with hair and makeup already done.

Kinder/Baby/Bubby - 9.45am. 

 Presentations and arrival of Mickey & Minnie will be at 11.45am and ALL Ballerinas present will receive a certificate and special gift.  

The waiting room will be available on Open Day for toddlers/babies (toys and DVD's available).  

Help - volunteers needed for Open Day.

We would really appreciate if some parents can help out with selling refreshments after the Presentations on Open Day from 12pm- 1pm.

We also need 2 x Baby/Kinder Ballet Reps to arrive early on Open Day and check

all ballerinas are in FULL costume (tights, hair, shoes and costume) and hand out the bows.

If you can help out on the day, please email us asap.

Thank you to Miss Belinda and all the families who have sold cookies and raffle tickets this term. The Raffle will be drawn after the Presentations. 

We are offering a special prize for the family who sells the most cookies & raffle tickets.

Ryde Eisteddfod - Saturday 13th July - program TBA.

Congratulations to Grade 1 Ballerina Paige who will be advancing to Grade 2 next term and sitting for her Grade 2 exam at the end of Term 3 with our other Grade 2 Ballerinas, Isla, Chloe, Charlotte and Talia. :)

Exciting news for our Grade Ballerinas - Paige, Isla, Chloe, Charlotte and Talia, who have been invited to perform their Eisteddfod solos at the Hunter School Of The Performing Arts on Sunday 23rd June at 3pm. They will be dancing with Central School of Dance Students at a Benefit Concert. Tickets $15

Please remember that we need your children's full attention so please use the waiting room if you wish to chat during class.

All Ballerinas should be wearing tights and crossovers now as the weather is getter cooler. Please wear warm clothing before and after class too. Ballet shoes should not be worn outside the studio.

 

Grade Ballerinas

We are so happy with your progress and we are looking forward to seeing you dance your Eisteddfod solos at our Open Day on June 29 :) and at Sydney Eisteddfod on June 1 :)

Entry forms for Singleton Eisteddfod will be handed out on Tuesday. We also need to organise a practice day in the holidays for Ryde Eisteddfod on June 13.

Minnie Mouse Costumes have arrived today and will be handed out tomorrow :)

 

Working Bee 

There will be a working bee next Saturday at 3pm to finish the extended dance floor. If you have an hour to spare we would appreciate your help :)

Welcome back to Term 2 everyone!!!
We were so happy to see our smiling Ballerinas on Saturday and we are looking forward to this weeks classes with our weekly Ballerinas :)

We are looking forward to a fun and exciting term with our Mickey and Minnie theme and preparing our 5 Grade Ballerinas - Paige, Isla, Chloe, Charlotte and Talia for their very first Eisteddfod as well. It will be a busy term :)
Open Day raffle prizes on display in the studio - tickets going out now and our prize for the Ballerina(s) who sells the most tickets this term is a beautiful Blochs Dance Bag (kindly donated by Kylie and Luke).

TERM 2 COMPETITION

We will also be donating 1 x $100 CCBB voucher to the parents who promote our school and photo project the most - more details in our May newsletter going out this week.

Week 11

Another fun photo shoot on Saturday with Jade and a few more photo shoots this week.

Classes finish for Term 1 on Saturday 13th April and resume on Saturday 27th April 2013.
We will be sending out invoices for Term 2 by email this week.
Open Day Minnie Costume(s) including postage costs have been added to Term 2 invoices.
Several Parents have already taken advantage of our Early Bird Discount and don't forget to allow 3 days if you are making your payment online.

Sydney Eisteddfod practice for Grade Ballerinas will be on Wednesday 17th April at Doyalson 10am to 12pm (Grade 2) and 12.30 to 3pm (Grades 1 and 2)

Week 7

Last week was a very busy week with 8 Ballerinas on location for Central Coast Baby Ballet Project.
Unfortunately we have had car problems this week and we will be organising make-up lessons and times next week for the Monday and Tuesday classes. Our car is back on the road now and we are hoping the weather continues to be fine for this weeks photo shoots :)

We are almost halfway through Term 1 already and next month the  Easter Bunny will be here. Hopefully the rain may stay away for the Easter Holiday as we have some very special Easter Hunts planned for the week before Easter :)

A big thank you to Laura for your kind donation (2 x Pedestal Fans) and to Andy for offering to build a portable barre for our Grade Ballerinas. Many thanks also to Melinda for donating the materials for the ballet barre.

Week 4

We've had a  busy week at CCBB starting with our move to Doyalson-Wyee RSL Youth Centre on Monday and finishing with our second photoshoot for the Central Coast Baby Ballet Project with Isla (Grade 2) and Linsey (Baby Ballet) yesterday. The weather was very wet and windy but Isla and Linsey managed to keep smiling as well as holding onto their umbrellas :)

Great participation in all our classes - and it was great to see children enjoying the new "FREE" Baby Jazz, Baby Reading and Baby Tap Classes.

Week 2

February is going to be a very exciting month!!!

Welcome back to our returning students and welcome to our new enrolled students.
We had a delightful first week welcoming all of the ballerinas at CCBB.
Everyone had a lovely time dancing with Mickey and Minnie and we had so much fun introducing our new program for this Semester - Around the World with Disney!


We are moving and our new venue is the Doyalson-Wyee RSL Youth Centre on the Pacific Highway at Doyalson (located next door to the Doyalson RSL and accessible through the RSL carpark.)

"This new facility was opened in October last year by Premier Barry O'Farrell to meet the increasing demand for sporting and recreational facilities in the area.
For the members of the RSL Club and the RSL Sub Branch Youth Club Committee, the day was a culmination of 22 years of vision, commitment and hard work—a vision for a better lifestyle for the young people of the area, ideally leading to a more harmonious and prosperous community. The youth centre will provide a venue for indoor sporting activities for local children and youth, such as netball, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, dance, boxing and cricket."

The Youth Centre is equipped with a new dance floor (perfect for twirling ballerinas and little dancers) modern amenities  and ample parking on site. 

Central Coast Baby Ballet Classes will continue at Toukley and Kanwal until the 17th February. 
Classes at our new venue at the Doyalson-Wyee RSL Youth Centre commence Week 4 - Monday the 18th February 2013. 
We will be holding morning and afternoon classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and we will be offering FREE Trial Classes for all new students aged 18months to 8yrs.

Week 1 - Back to Ballet

Happy 3rd Birthday to CCBB!!!!!
We are looking forward to starting our 4th year at CCBB and a big hello to all of our returning students as well as new students starting this week.
We hope everyone had a happy holiday and that you are all ready to Dance Around the World with Disney this Semester.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be changing our website so that it is mobile and iPad friendly
and
