Baby Ballet Classes
Costume Pack contains:
1 x Headband
2 x Arm puffs
2 x ties for shoulder straps
1 x Overlay with 4 x ties
(Both colours available now)

To be worn with:
Pink Ballet Tights
Pink Ballet Shoes
Briefs - same colour as tutu
Long hair must be worn in a bun

How lovely for Jazmine's family to find out recently that they had another Ballerina in their family and what a classic elegant Ballerina too!!!

Thank you to our Beautiful Baby Ballerina Sisters from Kanwal for modelling our Open Day Costumes for Baby Ballet - Classic Pink Tutu with overlay, arm puffs and headband and our new Hot Pink Tutu which will also be worn with the overlay, arm puffs and headband.
Good News!!! No Sewing involved!!! Thank you Mrs Barker!!!
We also welcomed a new Baby Ballerina to our Kanwal Class yesterday!!

ps  Please consider bringing in your costume money early as we do need to bring your Ballerina(s) tutu(s) home with us to attach the flower buttons for the overlay. (approximately 30 tutus). Please write your child's name on the label inside the tutu before you give it to us.
Please don't forget to return your Media Release forms this week so that we can start videoing next week.

Week 2

We had a wonderful day at the Civic Theatre yesterday attending The  Imperial Russian Ballet Class at 10am 11am and then the Performance in the afternoon at 2pm! What a superb performance - A Festival of performances from Don Quixote, Giselle, Le Corsaire, Carmen, The Dying Swan and a wonderful Finale from The Can Can!
Exciting news - The company will be performing Sleeping Beauty in 2012 at the Civic Theatre!

Thank you Ballerinas for bringing your stencils in last week. Don't forget to bring in your Nutcracker stencil this week.

What a busy morning at Toukley today!
Welcome to our new and returning Bubby and Mummy/Daddy Ballerinas, Baby Ballerinas and Kinder/Grade Ballerinas.
Wonderful to see all the Bubbies decorating the hot pink christmas tree so carefully on tippy toes, Baby Ballerinas dancing delightfully like Sugar Plum Fairies and Kinder/Grade Ballerinas showing us their terrific new Chinese Dance arms.
Congratulations Erika and Zoe on your graduation from Bubby Ballet to Baby Ballet today!! Fantastic effort and participation for your first Baby Ballet class!!

Lots of fun

...at Abermain Baby Ballet yesterday! Welcome back to our Baby Ballerinas! Lovely to see those beautiful Pas de Chats and Arabesques.
Please note there will be a change of time for Baby Ballet starting next week due to their participation in the Annual Concert with the Kirsty Gunther Academy of Dance.
Baby Ballet will commence at 3.30pm and finish at 4.15. Junior Ballet (KGAD) will commence at 3.30pm too and finish at 4.30pm.

ps Concert Dates: Saturday 26th November 2011 at 7pm and Sunday 27th November 2011 at 2pm.

Wonderful to see lots of smiling Sugar Plum Fairies and Jolly Reindeers.

Don't forget that all students enrolled at Kanwal (Wednesday) or Toukley (Saturday) can attend both classes each week (at no extra cost). Great for making up any missed lessons in Term 4!

Week 1 - Back to Ballet

Welcome to our first week of Term 4 Ballet!
We are looking forward to our first Baby Ballet Class with our new program - Sugar Plum Fairies and Nutcrackers!

Classes resume this week
Reminder for Wednesday Parents
Because Kanwal Youth and Community Centre will be undergoing renovations for the first 3 weeks of Term 4, Wednesday Class will be held at Toukley Neighbourhood Centre - starting at 9.45 am - 10.30 am.
Thursday 13th October - Abermain
Saturday 15th October - Toukley

Fee Reminder:

Baby Pink or Hot Pink?

Introducing our new hot pink tutu!!!
Our Ballerinas now have the option of choosing our classic baby pink or our new hot pink tutu for class.
Specially designed for Bubby and Baby Ballerinas by Peter at North Shore Ballet.
Both tutus will be suitable for our end of term Open Days.

ps Say the word "ballerina" and most people will picture her in a tutu. Tutus have long been the most revered form of ballet costume; their angelic frothiness adds a magic quality to the look of a ballerina. When she wears one, she looks like a sugary confection that belongs on the grandest of cakes.

We are very excited to announce that Karen Barker, Director of Baby Ballerinas and Co and Central School of Dance will judge the Students of the Term for Baby Ballet and Kinder Ballet at our end of term Open Day at Toukley on Saturday 17th December 2011.
Thanks to Miss Charlotte for the delightful photos of our prizes and costumes for the Nutcracker Open Days. I have posted the pics on our website.
We will also be awarding Trophies at the end of Term 4 to the following Ballerinas:
Jazmine, Jessica, Isabelle M, Ashley, Ella, Ava H, Matilda, Mackenzie, Holly H and Charlotte for 2 full semesters enrolment and Paige for 4 full semesters enrolment.
