Happy Birthday Wishes this week to Erika (who turned 4 yesterday), to Isabelle B (who turned 5 yesterday) and to Isla (who will turn 6 tomorrow)

We know that next Saturday will be a fun day with lots of beautful smiling, dancing Ballerinas and that Central Coast Baby Ballerinas are Winners every day of the year!!!!!

We have a busy week ahead -  

• handing out stencil and 100% attendance awards at Kanwal and Abermain
• helping Santa bring all the presents from the North Pole to Kanwal Youth and Community Centre
• finishing the props, for the stage
• making sure that we have all of the certificates, trophies and SOT prizes ready for Open Day.

8:20am - Central School of Dance - 8:30am (run through on stage)

8:45am - Kinder Ballet and Lara 8:40am (Nutcrackers run through with Kinder Ballet – Chinese Dance and Waltz of the Flowers – Lara run through Clara’s Dance))

8:55am - Baby Ballet 9am (Nutcrackers meet the 22 Baby Ballerina Sugar Plum Fairies)

9:15am Arrival of Bubby + Mummy Ballerinas

Nutcracker History

Chinese Dance - The Nutcracker - Isla, Chloe and Charlotte

A great love of nutcrackers emerged from The Nutcracker Suite, the fairy tale ballet that inspired families around the world.  The beloved ballet brings soldier nutcrackers to life and makes them heroes of the day.
German legend has it that nutcrackers were given as keepsakes to bring good luck. They represented power and strength and would serve a family faithfully to protect them from thieves and danger.

Nutcracker Props for Open day

Nutcrackers

The Nutcracker props are almost finished!! Some sequins and glitter and they will be ready to put up on Open Day at Kanwal Youth and Community Centre.

Kanwal Baby Ballet class tomorrow will be practising "on stage" at Kanwal and don't forget full costume and hair for photo shoot #2. Isabelle, Paige, Ella, Holly, Piper, Keira, (individual) and  Amelie (together), Jade, Sophie and Olivia (together) + group shot of all Ballerinas.

Week 8 - 28 Days until Christmas

and only 19 days until Santa vists all our Ballerinas at CCBB's Open Day on the 17th December at Kanwal Youth and Community Centre.
We spoke to Santa yesterday (on our special Santa Phone) and he was really happy to hear that all of the Ballerinas are dancing beautifully.
The Sugar Plum Fairy very kindly sent us this info from Australia Post too!!!

Santa Mail Remember to write your letter to Santa this Christmas. Last year, Santa received over 120,000 letters from children all over Australia with requests for toys, pets and world peace. Australia Post will once again work with Santa's elves to ensure children who write a letter to Santa at his special address receive a reply. Make sure you send your letter to Santa before 17 December, to ensure you receive a reply before Christmas. Remember to write the address clearly, place a 60c stamp on the envelope and don't forget to include your return address on the back of the envelope, so Santa knows where to send a reply. Santa's special address is: Santa NORTH POLE 9999 An Australia Post postie meets Santa at a secret location to hand over children's letters. Every child who lives in Australia who writes to Santa will receive a special reply. Children are encouraged to get their letters in early to avoid the Christmas rush. Change of Venue for Open Day - 17th December 2011

Dear Parents
After speaking with the hall hire organiser regarding the cupboards and items on the stage at Toukley Neighbourhood Centre we have changed the location of our Open Day to

Kanwal Youth and Community Centre.
Wallarah Road Kanwal (next door to Wyong Leagues Club).
The stage is more suited (height) for young children, there will be plenty of seating with wheelchair access and ample parking as well.
The date, times and program will be the same.
