Week 10 - Our last week of term!!!

Kinder Grade Ballerinas - Charlotte, Isla, Chloe and Lara - 100% attendance this Term and to Isla - Winner of the Stencil Prize Draw at Toukley

Happy Birthday Wishes this week to Erika (who turned 4 yesterday), to Isabelle B (who turned 5 yesterday) and to Isla (who will turn 6 tomorrow)

We know that next Saturday will be a fun day with lots of beautful smiling, dancing Ballerinas and that Central Coast Baby Ballerinas are Winners every day of the year!!!!!

We have a busy week ahead -

handing out stencil and 100% attendance awards at Kanwal and Abermain
helping Santa bring all the presents from the North Pole to Kanwal Youth and Community Centre
finishing the props, for the stage
making sure that we have all of the certificates, trophies and SOT prizes ready for Open Day.

Arrival and Run Through Times:

8:20am - Central School of Dance - 8:30am (run through on stage)

8:45am - Kinder Ballet and Lara 8:40am (Nutcrackers run through with Kinder Ballet – Chinese Dance and Waltz of the Flowers – Lara run through Clara’s Dance))

8:55am - Baby Ballet 9am (Nutcrackers meet the 22 Baby Ballerina Sugar Plum Fairies)

9:15am Arrival of Bubby + Mummy Ballerinas

9:20am – 9:30am Arrival of Parents Guests and Visitors –

Programs will be available at the door

9:30am Welcome by Lara/Clara

11:30am Presentation of certificates, trophies and Student of the Term Awards – Draw - Lucky Door Prizes

11:45 – 12:00 Arrival of Santa

"As a parent I particularly like that the music, dance steps and costuming is age appropriate - I have seen too many of my friends/family young children dancing to songs and doing moves in other dance schools that I feel inappropriate for their age - i like the innocence of your themes and that a love of dance shines through.
Isla responds well to you both and she loves the differing styles of traditional ballet and the jazz body movement. I'm really happy with the open classes too I hope this remains in place (understand not for term 4 though).
Only comment would be to look at streamlining re-enrolment for continuing students and to keep the atmosphere fun and light esp for the non graded ballerinas. The dance combinations are spot on - not too difficult or to basic and the use of props is an excellent tool to make learning fun. Isla loves her time with you so that is what I go on for satisfaction"

"We like the use of props and themes in the program which enhances engagement of joy and wonder in dance. CCBB allows my child to work on developing friendships through sharing and respect. The location and timetable also work very well for us.
The only suggestion I would make for this age group is to allow a bit more variety and freedom in the program to cater for individual expression and creativity. Perhaps some free form movement and improvisations. I think this could also help with stimulating fun and laughter."
