Christmas in July

Thanks to Nikki for the terrific flyer!!

Dear Parents,

The fundraising committee will be holding a raffle at the beginning of Term 3 for

“Christmas in July”

To make this raffle a success, we need your help!

We would appreciate any donations of non perishable food items or Christmas related products in order for us to make up hampers for prizes.

Any donations can either be given to a fundraising representative at your appropriate ballet class or left in the basket at the door near the name badges at any time during Term 2.

The representatives for your classes are as follows:

Baby Ballet (Wed) - Julie Anderson

Kinder Ballet (Fri) - Nikki Inwood

Bubby Ballet (Sat) - Belinda Thackray

Baby/Grade 1/Jazz (Sat) - Kristy Clarke, Joanna Henderson or Julie Anderson

If you have any other fundraising ideas for the committee or can assist us in any other way, please come and talk to one of us.

"As a parent I particularly like that the music, dance steps and costuming is age appropriate - I have seen too many of my friends/family young children dancing to songs and doing moves in other dance schools that I feel inappropriate for their age - i like the innocence of your themes and that a love of dance shines through.
Isla responds well to you both and she loves the differing styles of traditional ballet and the jazz body movement. I'm really happy with the open classes too I hope this remains in place (understand not for term 4 though).
Only comment would be to look at streamlining re-enrolment for continuing students and to keep the atmosphere fun and light esp for the non graded ballerinas. The dance combinations are spot on - not too difficult or to basic and the use of props is an excellent tool to make learning fun. Isla loves her time with you so that is what I go on for satisfaction"

"We like the use of props and themes in the program which enhances engagement of joy and wonder in dance. CCBB allows my child to work on developing friendships through sharing and respect. The location and timetable also work very well for us.
The only suggestion I would make for this age group is to allow a bit more variety and freedom in the program to cater for individual expression and creativity. Perhaps some free form movement and improvisations. I think this could also help with stimulating fun and laughter."
