Week 4

Kinder Ballerinas - Matilda, Gabbie and Olivia
Only 5 more weeks until our dress rehearsal!!!! How time is flying!!!
We are very happy that the children are learning their concert dances so quickly!! They are all so clever :)
We do appreciate Parents contacting us if your Ballerina/Dancer is going to miss a class. Thank you. As part of your commitment to your child 's participation in the concert we expect that all children will attend make up classes for any missed lessons
Please read the pink folder at ballet this week. We have lots of information for you regarding the concert. Newsletters will be going out next week :)

Curtsey Week
At the close of every ballet class and performance, dancers perform what is known as "reverence", or a series of curtsies: to the teacher, the audience, and the orchestra/pianist, as applicable.
Do you have a photo of your Ballerina/Dancer curtseying or bowing. We would love to see them. You can post on our facebook page here

Classroom Etiquette
Be on time and enter the studio quietly.
Cover ups should be worn to and from the building. Please do not wear your ballet shoes outside.
Hair is to be pulled back securely in a bun out of the eyes and off the neck.  Students with short hair should wear a headband or pin hair back with clips or bobby pins..

Helpful Hints
Ballet shoes do not have a right or left foot and may be alternated to reduce wear and tear.
Elastic drawstrings!! If they are tied too tight they can dig into heels and tender tendons. It takes about 15 mins. for this to occur. What started out as perfectly comfortable will become extremely painful! Tie the shoes and let students dance in them a couple of times to ensure that the shoes are comfortable, then tie them in a knot ,cut the excess strings and tuck them into the shoes.
Parents please make sure that your child uses the bathroom before class.
