Week 2

Term 2 Open Day Baby Ballet (2/3 yrs)

I agree with Jodie, I think the Bubby's had heaps of fun this morning too :-)

It's always a pleasure to receive such positive feedback on our programs and we love getting your comments. They certainly put a smile on our faces.

A great effort from the new Kinder, Grade 1 and Grade 2 Ballerinas and congratulations to the JB Jazz Dancers, Grade 1 and Grade 2 Ballerinas for participating in our closed classes so well without your Parents (some of you for the first time!!)

We would like to welcome new Bubby Ballerina Imogen who enrolled on Saturday and welcome to Harry who will be enrolling in the Bubby Ballet Class next Saturday.

Well done to Bubby Ballerina Sophia (Harry's sister) and Baby Ballerina Sara who danced for the first time on Saturday as well!!

A Message from CCBB Fundraising Committee

HUGE THANKS to the famlies who returned their raffle ticket money this week. I have just finished ticking off and collating the information. REMEMBER the ballerina who sells the winning raffle ticket (1st prize) will win their own little prize. NEXT WEEK, Week 2, will be your final week to return your raffle tickets (sold or unsold) to prepare for the draw on Saturday 4th August at the conclusion of the 2-3 baby ballet class 10.20am at Toukley. We received a very special visitor this morning!!! Our Angelina Ballerina Doll arrived (courtesy of UK Post) and is tired from her trip but oh so excited to meet all of the little dancers at CCBB this week!!

Open Day Term 2 - Baby Ballet - Eva and Keira

Goodbye wishes to Baby Ballerina, Eva, who will be continuing her Baby Ballet Classes with Baby Ballerinas and Co in Gateshead. We will miss you Eva and we are looking forward to seeing you dance at the end of year concert in Newcastle.

Welcome to new Bubby Ballerina, Sophia, who has enrolled in our Saturday Bubby Ballet Class. We look forward to meeting Sophia and her Mummy.

"As a parent I particularly like that the music, dance steps and costuming is age appropriate - I have seen too many of my friends/family young children dancing to songs and doing moves in other dance schools that I feel inappropriate for their age - i like the innocence of your themes and that a love of dance shines through.
Isla responds well to you both and she loves the differing styles of traditional ballet and the jazz body movement. I'm really happy with the open classes too I hope this remains in place (understand not for term 4 though).
Only comment would be to look at streamlining re-enrolment for continuing students and to keep the atmosphere fun and light esp for the non graded ballerinas. The dance combinations are spot on - not too difficult or to basic and the use of props is an excellent tool to make learning fun. Isla loves her time with you so that is what I go on for satisfaction"

"We like the use of props and themes in the program which enhances engagement of joy and wonder in dance. CCBB allows my child to work on developing friendships through sharing and respect. The location and timetable also work very well for us.
The only suggestion I would make for this age group is to allow a bit more variety and freedom in the program to cater for individual expression and creativity. Perhaps some free form movement and improvisations. I think this could also help with stimulating fun and laughter."
