Update from the Andersons
Hi Kim and Charlotte.
We arrived home this evening and back to the land of
communication and internet. Here is an update on the trip.
Isla thoroughly enjoyed "Danceplay". She did
activities everyday and made some new friends and has decided she would like to
go every year (but she would like Miss Kim and Miss Charlotte to go too). She
loved the teachers and the visit to the costume department.
On the last day parents were allowed to view the last hour.
I was so impressed with the program which focussed on "invention"
rather than imitation and the importance of creativity and play in learning
movement and dance. They showed the links to literacy and numeracy and to child
development theories. And, I finally made it into one of the studios of the
Australian Ballet - wow!!!
