Week 9

Dancing around the World with Mickey Mouse Open Day Sold out!!!

Only 3 days until our Open Day!!!!

Good luck to all our little Ballerinas :) We are looking forward to seeing you dance your best and we know Mickey and Minnie are very excited about meeting you all!!!

Good luck to our 5 Grade 2 Ballerinas who are competing in Sydney Eisteddfod next Monday and in Ryde Eisteddfod on the 13th July - Paige, Chloe, Isla, Charlotte and Talia :) Your performances on Sunday at the Hunter School of Performing Arts were outstanding and we are very proud of your achievements this semester :) All the hard work and hours have been worth it :)

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday and we are looking forward to seeing you all next term for Coppelia and the Dolls :)

Payment is due by Week 8 (cash only).

Grades Performance - Sunday 23rd June 2013 at 3pm -  Hunter Performing Arts School Theatre.
McDonalds Sydney Eisteddfod - Monday 1st July 2013 at 9am - North Shore Grammar School.
Ryde Eisteddfod Practice - Thursday 11th July 2013 from 10am to 3pm.
Ryde Eisteddfod - Saturday 13th July - program TBA.

Congratulations to Grade 1 Ballerina Paige who will be advancing to Grade 2 next term and sitting for her Grade 2 exam at the end of Term 3 with our other Grade 2 Ballerinas, Isla, Chloe, Charlotte and Talia. :)

Week 3

Grade Ballerinas looking beautiful at the hair and makeup workshop and CCBB Parents and Stan putting their final stamp on the new extended dance floor :)

A VERY VERY BIG THANK YOU to Julie and John, Belinda and Andy, Sharelle and Jason, and  Stan for a tremendous effort extending our dance floor on Saturday afternoon! It looks amazing! We simply cannot thank you enough for your time. We are very lucky to have such wonderful families at CCBB.

Great work Grade mums on an excellent hair and makeup workshop! Thank you Belinda and Karyn for babysitting the littlies and doing mini makeovers!

Week 11

Baby Ballerina - Jade on location

Another fun photo shoot on Saturday with Jade and a few more photo shoots this week.

Classes finish for Term 1 on Saturday 13th April and resume on Saturday 27th April 2013.
We will be sending out invoices for Term 2 by email this week.
Open Day Minnie Costume(s) including postage costs have been added to Term 2 invoices.
Several Parents have already taken advantage of our Early Bird Discount and don't forget to allow 3 days if you are making your payment online.

Sydney Eisteddfod practice for Grade Ballerinas will be on Wednesday 17th April at Doyalson 10am to 12pm (Grade 2) and 12.30 to 3pm (Grades 1 and 2)

Week 7

Last week was a very busy week with 8 Ballerinas on location for Central Coast Baby Ballet Project.
Unfortunately we have had car problems this week and we will be organising make-up lessons and times next week for the Monday and Tuesday classes. Our car is back on the road now and we are hoping the weather continues to be fine for this weeks photo shoots :)

Despite the rain and wind on Saturday afternoon we had fun photographing Chloe at the Long Jetty Pier :)

Week 7

We have another busy week at CCBB  with only 3 weeks until the dress rehearsal on Saturday December 8 at Toukley Neighbourhood Centre!
There will be an extra practice and final tutu fittings for our Grade Dancers on Friday November 23rd - 10am to 3pm - at Central School of Dance, Lake Macquarie.

Welcome
We are very happy to welcome three special guest dancers from CSOD - Julia Howard, Madeline Denholm and Amelia Denholm who will be performing at our Concert.

Dress Rehearsal
Timetable for dress rehearsal and photos will be emailed to parents in week 9.
Last day for orders for tights and shoes is this Thursday 22nd November (order will be emailed on Friday)

All Raffle tickets and money must be returned asap. All parents were given 1 x raffle ticket book at the beginning of term - please return any unsold tickets.
Concert DVD payments are due now. Preferred payment option - Electronic Funds Transfer EFT or Direct Deposit

Does any anyone have a portable barbeque that we could borrow on concert day for the sausage sizzle?

Because most of the concert items are longer than originally choreographed we will not be having a compere.
Limited edition concert souvenir programs will be on sale at the dress rehearsal and concert - price $6.

Week 9

Chloe - Grade 2 with Kinder Ballet Class - Toukley

Thanks to all the Parents for your patience with final costume fittings on Saturday at Toukley.
Final costume fittings this week will be on Wednesday for Baby Ballet students at Kanwal and on Thursday for Kinder Ballet students at Toukley.

Payments (in full) for all costumes MUST be paid this week!!!

Please check your newsletter for prices and please allow 3 days for transfer if you are paying online.

Invitations to Angelina Ballerina Day on Sunday 23rd September 2012 at Central School of Dance will be handed out this week as well as an information sheet.

Update from the Andersons 

Hi Kim and Charlotte.

We arrived home this evening and back to the land of communication and internet. Here is an update on the trip.

Isla thoroughly enjoyed "Danceplay". She did activities everyday and made some new friends and has decided she would like to go every year (but she would like Miss Kim and Miss Charlotte to go too). She loved the teachers and the visit to the costume department.

On the last day parents were allowed to view the last hour. I was so impressed with the program which focussed on "invention" rather than imitation and the importance of creativity and play in learning movement and dance. They showed the links to literacy and numeracy and to child development theories. And, I finally made it into one of the studios of the Australian Ballet - wow!!!

Looking forward to Term 3.
