It was another busy week last week with 5 photo shoots and 5 more before the end of term :)

We hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter long weekend.

Sydney Eisteddfod Entries

We are thrilled that our Grade Ballerinas have entered in the Classical Ballet Solos for the under 7 and 8 years age groups and we will be starting Eisteddfod lessons in Term 2. We are looking forward to an exciting time choreographing each of the solos and we are very confident that our Ballerinas will make us proud in July this year at their very first eisteddfod :)

Week 4

Dancing Sisters, Isla & Linsey out and about in the rain.

We've had a busy week at CCBB starting with our move to Doyalson-Wyee RSL Youth Centre on Monday and finishing with our second photoshoot for the Central Coast Baby Ballet Project with Isla (Grade 2) and Linsey (Baby Ballet) yesterday. The weather was very wet and windy but Isla and Linsey managed to keep smiling as well as holding onto their umbrellas :)

Great participation in all our classes - and it was great to see children enjoying the new "FREE" Baby Jazz, Baby Reading and Baby Tap Classes.

A big welcome to new Bubby Ballerina, Chelsea and Baby Ballerina, Jaime-Lee who enrolled at CCBB this week :)

"As a parent I particularly like that the music, dance steps and costuming is age appropriate - I have seen too many of my friends/family young children dancing to songs and doing moves in other dance schools that I feel inappropriate for their age - i like the innocence of your themes and that a love of dance shines through.
Isla responds well to you both and she loves the differing styles of traditional ballet and the jazz body movement. I'm really happy with the open classes too I hope this remains in place (understand not for term 4 though).
Only comment would be to look at streamlining re-enrolment for continuing students and to keep the atmosphere fun and light esp for the non graded ballerinas. The dance combinations are spot on - not too difficult or to basic and the use of props is an excellent tool to make learning fun. Isla loves her time with you so that is what I go on for satisfaction"

"We like the use of props and themes in the program which enhances engagement of joy and wonder in dance. CCBB allows my child to work on developing friendships through sharing and respect. The location and timetable also work very well for us.
The only suggestion I would make for this age group is to allow a bit more variety and freedom in the program to cater for individual expression and creativity. Perhaps some free form movement and improvisations. I think this could also help with stimulating fun and laughter."
